Hawaiian spider plant propagation success

Got some spider babies off of the outside spider plant I’ve been caring for. I figured anyone that enjoys #RootPorn would like this. 26 if I counted right. #SpiderPlant #Propagation #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict
3ft to light, indirect
10” pot with drainage

I want!!!! 😍😍😍 I love spider plants.
WOW so many healthy spider babies. I love spider plants, you're going to be busy putting those babies up. πŸ€ͺ
Could you share when you knew was the best time to remove them from the mother plant? I have some babies growing that I’d love to give to some friends 😊
@missjazzage I’m definitely not a professional but I was leaning on the safe side and waited until a majority had 3-4 roots poking out about an inch or so. That’s where I usually pull them and I’ve had great success propagating. Some of these got a bit longer but the more the merrier. Felt like an eternity waiting to pull them off but it was worth the wait for them to grow a bit stronger first.
@Oogoost okay, good to know! I didn’t realize they’ll make their own little roots β€” but your photos are excellent illustrations of that! Thank you! I suspect here is where I will have to practice patience πŸ˜…
@Oogoost some of my babies!
@missjazzage yeah it takes some waiting, but when they’re ready they’ll start reaching for soil with those little roots. I think it’s fun to watch over time. Yours looks like it’s doing great all around so I’m sure you’ll see roots soon enough.
@Oogoost thank you so much for the advice and the kind words πŸ€—
