Adopted another plant today. Neon Pothos.
Taking Nadia's advice on inspecting and keeping her quarantined for a day or two before she goes to "population". She looks like she's a happy neon!
Thank you again Nadia! @DreamMachine

@WormWarriorFarm Ooh, she’s lovely Rob! πŸ₯³
@DreamMachine
Thank you Nadia.
It seems as though the plant bug has bitten me severely... πŸ˜‚ I've adopted many plants over the past few days. I'm definitely gonna need to take a breather... πŸ˜‚
@WormWarriorFarm

Hi Rob!

Beautiful Neon Pathos!

If I may suggest... You'll want to actually keep her quarantined for at least 3 weeks, in case she's carrying something that could be transferred to your other plants.
@CutePolypremum
Thank you Joanie. I will do that. I'll take all the advice I can get. 😊
@WormWarriorFarm

You're so welcome! πŸ€—
@CutePolypremum @WormWarriorFarm yep, Joanie is so correct! I am unfortunately dealing with broad mites, because I didn’t quarantine something long enough.

Although, that’s what I *think* happened, but it’s quite possible they just managed to enter my house another way. Broad mites are totally small enough to float in, on a breeze, through a screened window, they are that small πŸ€πŸ€·β€β™€οΈπŸ™ˆ
@DreamMachine
Nadia, you are officially my plant wife 🀣
Or maybe I should say... "Nadia, will you be my plant wife?" Lol
@WormWarriorFarm hahaha, well, I think my husband might have something to say about that πŸ˜… But I’m happy to give you an ebullient letter of recommendation to your next candidate!
@DreamMachine
Haha. You are too awesome!
Thank you Nadia.
So...the broad mites...how would you get rid of those? Neem oil?
@DreamMachine

Sending big hugs πŸ«‚ πŸ€— πŸ’–
@CutePolypremum oh thank you my dear Joanie πŸ₯° big πŸ«‚ right back to you! (From a distance, with no broad mites transfer 😜)
@WormWarriorFarm πŸ˜… One could use neem, and that’s usually what I would recommend. But that is a lot of work, and spraying, and respraying, and I have a pretty large collection. So this time, I’m going to release beneficial/predatory mites that will eat the broad mites. Probably going with cucumeris mites! πŸ’ͺ (and I’m actually quite looking forward to seeing the ensuing battle)
@DreamMachine

No broad mites transfer! Lol πŸ˜…

I'm excited about your beneficial/predatory mites !!!
Please share more with us when the battle begins and it's progress πŸ˜‰
@CutePolypremum I shall! I’m planning on a #TheWateringHole post about it today. πŸ€— And you may think that I’ve finally just lost my marbles, but I’m planning on raising these mites afterwards as well. Susann shared this video with me, and it doesn’t look like too much extra work every week, she says, as she takes on yet another project.
