#PhilodendronBirkinEvian Has anyone else heard of this new cultivar? I just received it yesterday in the mail from Logee's. I'd been on the waiting list for 4 months... It's very compact and mainly the white of the Birkin... Hello dear Carmen Marie!
The white leaves on my Birken had no chlorophyll, thus were not able to feed themselves.
The results being that they became rotten.
I snipped them off and moved my Birkie out from being directly under a gro light to indirect lighting.
It's doing better and again slowly producing leaves 🍃 with chlorophyll.
From my experience, the white leaves don't mean it's a rare or exotic plant!

@CutePolypremum They have some green. Not as much as the original Birkin. But that is what I was thinking too! As they mature, more green is supposed to take over... I sure hope so. More to come....
@MamaLinne ya! I've bought from them before. And their videos are very well done. This one made me break my promise to not buy online anymore! So now after this one... No more buying online! When I buy online I get beaten up plants or not as advertised... So now I'm back to buying local!
@GracedStrapwort I know huh!? I sure hope it stays as pretty or it gets prettier! I have it in my Harry Potter terrarium, so hopefully that will protect it a bit!!

Oh...I forgot to share with you!
I've had my Birkin for almost 2 years.
He ALWAYS had green leaves, never all white.
The white leaves developed after I changed his location to underneath a gro lamp that was too powerful for it.
It was my bad, as he was perfectly fine in his own digs before I moved him!
