Calico hearts' amazing growth journey!

Happy #FreshLeafFriday ! I’m sure there’s more than one of us, that had a long week, amirite!? πŸ˜³πŸ˜† I know I sure did lol.
this Friday I thought I would show you guys the progress that my calico heart has made since I’ve gotten her. I know I talk about her all the time but she really is my favorite plant… (I hate to say that & make the other ones jealous! lol 😳) Amor is my favorite plant, because she’s a reminder of my hard work, & reaching the top five for the first time two months ago. It it was a very big deal to me, & Calico Hearts was on the very top of my #wishlist .✨
I waited about two months to repot, because I was so nervous to mess something up or make the plant go into a fit after evicting her from her original home πŸ˜¬πŸ˜†. She also had a baby with her, so that was especially exciting because that means TWO of my fave plant 🀭 I since have separated them & put them in their own pots. One is quite larger than the other but the small one is so dang cute. πŸ₯ΉπŸ’• I am using bonsai jack gritty mix, with some succulent soil & perlite. It seems to be responding well too the new mix, but dries out veryy quickly. All right lemme just stop rambling & show yall the plants 😳.
The pictures are in order from the day I got her, to last night. She has grown so well, and surprised me with the rate of growth. I wanted to add the dates for reference. -1&2 October 13th.

Thank you Kaitlyn for this post. I love looking at the pictures, knowing the dates, and comparing the progress. I'm so happy for you that the repotting went well. Your mom plant and the baby plant look very beautiful with all these purple dots. Congratulations on your achievement. 😁
I too have a favourite plant of my own, but I'm not saying not to make the other plants jealous πŸ˜œπŸ€—
@SvelteKingfern I’m glad you take interest in this. I also love comparing the photos of my plants, & even counting the leaves & matching up the leaves in different photos of the same plant, so I can see the growth over time. 😊
The pleasure is mine πŸ˜ƒ I'm doing exactly the same. I'm going to show you an example.
@SvelteKingfern wow she has really improved since the repot! Some really pretty colors here soon. It just seems like they grow so fast! 😊πŸ₯Ή
Yep, it's a super fast growing plant. I'm surprised myself. πŸ€”πŸ€¨ @TidyTigerpear
@SvelteKingfern anytime I repot a plant & they start losing bottom leaves, I start freaking out. usually they end up just having shock from the transplant. I’ve really had less of a problem of that, since using bonsai jack gritty mix. I’m having to order a new bag now because I’m out since I had to do that repotting because of the fungus knat problem. I think it really does make a difference for the echeverias and a few other plants that I’ve tested with like the calico hearts and other abdromischus variety, like the pillow foot plant 🧐πŸ§ͺ
@SvelteKingfern they always know how to surprise us don’t they πŸ€—
Thanks so much @TidyTigerpear πŸ‘ I'm going to get bonsai jack gritty mix for my plants.

It was a big transplant shock for that Echeveria seedling. I thought it won't pull through. And I was freaking out too
They surprise us in that lovely way of theirs πŸ’šπŸŸ©πŸŒ΅πŸͺ΄ @TidyTigerpear
@SvelteKingfern let me know how it works out for you, 😊🌱
All right, I will in a year time. It's Spring, and the pots are the right size at the moment. πŸ‘ @TidyTigerpear
Sorry, it's the 3rd day of Summer.
Wow, already LOL @TidyTigerpear
@SvelteKingfern it’s summer all the time in Australia ?? Do you have winters ? No snow ever right ?
We have different zones. In Queensland it's rainy season right now (Spring Summer), and dry season in Autumn Winter. Hot in Summer and mild in Winter.
But down South in Victoria and Tasmania they do have snow in Winter.
That color on the edges 😍 Well done!
@GaryPoopins thank you 😊 grow lights are doing the job right for now πŸ€“πŸ’‘
@SvelteKingfern that’s very interesting 😊
Looks like a happy plant! Love the photos documenting the progress.
