Hello everyone , here are two Bald Cypress trees I found while going through some of my old Facebook posts. I took these photos a long time ago with my old 35 mm film camera. This is along the Withlacoochee River just south of the Silver Lake recreation area on the Florida Trail. These trees, when they get older,grow into many very weird shapes and forms. I think this one is one of the weirder ones that I took. My dream house is a massive sprawling underground sanctuary. If I could actually manage to have exposed tree roots while still maintaining sound structural integrity I would die, but I know that's not exactly feasible. So I'll settle for making my front entry look like you're walking into a hobbit hole 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️😂
@SpyderLily , you would not have to do that. Many of them are hollowed out enough to where you could easily walk inside them. I made a video of a Cypress tree that I actually walked in and videoed the inside of the tree. A long time ago, I put the video on my Facebook page. I don’t get on Facebook much anymore, but maybe I can go over there and take a few still photos from the video and post them here. 🤔🫶

@Malagueña Spooky but the first picture looks like a tree gnome protecting it with a stick . Such gorgeous trees I want your talent at capturing such great shots . They’re very thought provoking sometimes.
