#freshleaffriday
I remember reading "the pads take over a year to do anything" after snipping and proudly potting Sydney's pups in a cement pot. That was two years ago, so...accurate. All the porch plants feature at least one clump of white dog hair.
That Copiapoa has been through the worst times, but I can't bring myself to give up on it despite the constant mealiebug issues. I put it outside in too much heat, and it spit out pups.
And my misshapen crested euphorbia. Do whatever you want, man.

@TidyTigerpear Yo, I was off buying plants, especially big ones, but my gf had diff ideas ha. That Crest was part of a store anniversary sale, so it was like $30 - which is still like 3 times what I spend on a plant. This troublemaker also came from that sale.
Hehe. So, my first Lithops bloom was like that. I didn't really put things together that succulents bloom. This creature starts out looking like something laid eggs, and then spends a few weeks looking like the unhinged jaw in an Aliens (the film) alien before showing color.

@TidyTigerpear More here is where I asked "what is happening" because all I was concerned about was the upcoming split. They flower?! Oh wow.
@thenonnon love that Lithops bloom!
@thenonnon looks like itβs giving birth π³π€£
@TidyTigerpear it enters the world very, very slowly, and it looks like this thing's mouth when it extends.
@refinedsandwort I have in my "to do" a Lithops calendar. I want to see all my oldies before the mealies came to town.
