Happy #freshleaffriday fellow #greggers! I have a lot of fun things I want to show off this week, but my number one is MY NUMBER ONE WISHLIST PLANT.
Thanks to #plantproper being literal perfection and @JCPlantProper being the best I couldn't turn down getting my #ficusshivereana!
I talked it over with @RJG since I was nervous to take the leap, but he kindly assured me it would be fine. Then pushed me, obviously ๐
So here THEY are. That's right folks, there are TWO beautiful ladies in the pot. Jackie O and Audrey have officially joined @RJG's Marilyn in the #moonshiners community!
And while I am currently shouting in your faces about how excited I am, I also need to recognize @ivysaur's ADORABLY PERFECT #ficusmoonshine and say please join @RJG and I in the #moonshiners community!

@PlantMompy Jackie O & Audrey!! You know what? It truly doesnโt get any better than ๐๐พ๐๐พ๐๐พ They look really good together ๐๐๐ I wouldโve never thought to put 2 plants togetherโฆwell I do have Lucy & Ethel in one pot but theyโre similar looking Pothos. So is this 2 ficus shivereanas?
@PlantMompy Ficus Ruby is the only ficus thatโs ever truly caught my eye but this is new to me. I like it. I like it a lot ๐๐๐พ๐ชด

@MrsSmith yes! So some plants like to be a little tight in pots (like aloe and snake plants) and some plants do fine with a couple for a while, like ficus. A lot of the time it's just luck. My tinekes actually happened to come two in a pot as well. But yes, I was using both the scientific name and "slag" name for the hashtags.
Also Lucy and Ethel are AMAZING names for two plants in the same pot! ๐

@MrsSmith yes! Long story short after chatting with @RJG about his named Marilyn, Jackie O was thrown out and since there is two Audrey naturally followed.
Price was my hesitation, too. I've never spent so much on a plant (or wanted a plant more). After wanting one for quite a while and never seeing them under $200 unless they were about 2" tall and that was usually $100. So when PP had them at a great size for a great place and I knew I'd be getting a great plant (didn't know I'd get two ๐ณ) I decided it was time. It's an early Christmas gift so I don't need to ship in winter ๐

@PlantMompy I get it. When itโs love, itโs love. And if that price is a deal on top of the fact that you know youโre getting #plantproper qualityโฆ.I understand. They are most certainly beautiful. Thatโs what I know for sure ๐๐๐

I was one of the people who bought a 2โ (being generous lol) for $100 six months ago and gotta say, itโs been fun watching the little guy grow and I would ๐ฏ recommend it for anyone with a lot of patience. I see the same ones listed for less now (pic) and you could probably find one for $40 if you check Etsy all the time.
@MrsSmith @sarahsalith if youโre interested, itโs worth watching the market for great deals! Prices are falling. Iโd guess since these are more common abroad. My husband travels for work and I was trying to convince him to get a plant permit and buy one for $15 in Australia ๐
