A huge Thank You πŸ™ to Stephanie @stephonicle for so generously sharing some variegated SOH cuttings with me πŸ’šπŸ€πŸ©·. It’s been a minute πŸ€ͺ since I attempted keeping SOH (which was not very successful btw ☹️). I’m ready now to jump back in, with Steph’s encouragement πŸ‘πŸ™ŒπŸ“£!! So I’m trying 1 on soil and the other on sphagnum moss. Both are in partially opened ziplock bags so humidity is high but there’s airflow. So far both are looking good πŸ˜ŠπŸ€žπŸ€žπŸ’šπŸ€πŸ©· TYTY!!! #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #StringOfHearts #stringsofthings #TheWateringHole #brunchataudreys
Yay! You're so welcome Marian! Glad they're doing well. I'd be curious to find out which of the two produce the best/fastest results πŸ€—πŸ’—
@stephonicle so far the sphagnum moss pot has sent roots out pretty quickly. Will it be a PITA πŸ‘ to remove and transfer to soil?? We shall see! 🀫🫑πŸ«₯
@MariansOasis oh yeah, you'll never get the roots untangled from that moss lol! At least not without some damage. Maybe just pick off as much as you can so the layer of moss is as thin as possible, then lay the whole thing on top of soil?
