#Amaryllis UPDATE, YโALL. I came into work today because Iโm working hella overtime to pay for moving into my new apartment soon. ANYWAY, when I walked into my office, look what I saw! BOTH flower stalks have bloomed now, and Nando just looks even more glorious than he did yesterday, which I didnโt think possible! ๐ฎ So I wanted to share for anyone who loves these plants as much as I do. Who doesnโt love a giant flower? Or seven (so far)? ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐๐ค๐ชด๐ธ๐ธ๐ธ๐ธ๐ธ PS: Buddy says hey ๐ข #HappyPlants #StripedTubedAmaryllis floweringPlants">#floweringPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #NewGrowth #PlantTherapy #babevila #BuddyTheTurtle

@AC73LoveCats Thank you! When people come in here for the first time, they always gasp. Sometimes in delight, and sometimes because they think Iโm insane and they need to run ๐๐คฃ๐ชด๐ชด๐ชด I have timers on my succulent lights and some arenโt on yet, but you get the picture ๐ I figure if I have to spend most of my waking hours here, Iโm going to surround myself with my favorite things๐ค๐
@AC73LoveCats oooh but Iโm jealous of your windows! They have me in a walk-in closet ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ thank goodness for grow lights. Your plants are beautiful!
@MamixFuego The turtle is my pet, Buddy. We rescued him back in October and he has quickly become loved on this app lol! And thank you so much for the compliment! Your plants are gorgeous ๐
@BabeVila Thank you! The windows at work are better than any of my house windows. So my most light-loving plants, my asparagus fern and plume asparagus fern, love their hallway work window, as long as I give them copious amounts of water twice a week. They do just as well there as when they used to go outside in the summer at my house.
@AC73LoveCats Lovely plants! Might I ask what the plant behind the ZZ plants is? The bulbous looks like an
Adenium Obesum to me, Iโve been searching for them. And seedlings as well. If I had an office, I would have it dressed up with plants after plants. Thank you both for showing us your gorgeous offices!

@BabeVila - Shannon, your amaryllis are absolutely BEAUTIFUL ๐คฉ
Iโd be bragging if I were you! And I LOVE their colors! That pink and white look sooo good together ๐ฅฐ
I had some last spring and the looked similar to yours, except a peachy kinda color with white stripes!
As awesome as they are, itโs just a shame they donโt last longer ๐
And #BuddyTheTurtle is MY MOST FAVORITE little guy ๐ข
You ALWAYS get the best pics of him and well, turtles are just my favorite animal!
I have a stained glass turtle on the window in my plant room/dining room and I have a turtle stand in the living room โค๏ธ๐ขโค๏ธ

@freespirited.30 The one directly behind the (dark) zz, on the windowsill, is a string of hearts. The one to the left of the zz is a desert rose. And the one to the right of the zz is an Aglaonema, I forget the exact variety but can check it out when I go back to work. Have I hit on the right ones, or did you mean some other ones?
I wonder how you came into the desert rose aka Adenium Obesum? People are telling me theyโre everywhere! The two nurseries I went to this afternoon said they have not seen them around. I thought I wasnโt looking at the right places for it. How long have you had the desert rose for? Has it flowered? Arenโt they just so gorgeous when theyโre in full bloom?!!
I purchased the Aglaonema plant back in December or very early in January on clearance from either Kroger or Publix. It went from 29.99 to 6.99. All of the leaves except for one tiny one is still thriving. How long have you had yours for?

@BabeVila thank youuu!! Canโt wait to have more pretty plants allll over my house!
@JenniferNoel I looooove that peachy color! And you can always get your amaryllis to bloom again! Itโs actually pretty easy. I didnโt know how much you love turtles! If you want to email me I can send you cute videos of him. He is quite silly for a reptile. I never knew what personality he would have! Lol I love that stand. My mom also loves turtles and she has many of the same Knick Knacks as you! I always get her a different turtle plant pot hanger for her birthday too lol. They have so many cute ones.
@freespirited.30 My Aglaonema is a Pink Pearl. I bought it the last time I was at the plant shop in Tipp City, which would be several months ago.
I bought the two desert roses (the other one is on the same table) the last time my husband and I drove to Palm Coast, Florida, to visit my daughter and grandkids. That would be the fall of 2023. They were in a nursery near where they live. They have both flowered once, and yes, they are beautiful. Mostly they grow leaves and then lose them, over and over. I withhold the water when they are dormant (leafless) and water sparingly when they grow new leaves. They remain in that sunny south window. I donโt know what will help them bloom again. I was attracted to them because the caudex reminds me of the one on my ponytail palm, Austin, who turns 49 this next summer. (I also have 2 newer ones a couple years old, Tipp City 1 and Tipp City 2, which are lush and beautiful but much smaller.) Sorry itโs taken me so long to answer. Life has been Happeningโฆ..
