Are my snake plant roots normal?
What are snakeplant roots supposed to look like?
I had to repot mine and i found one very thick root in the middle,is it normal?
It kinda looks like this image i found on google:
Except there isn't a leaf on the other end,It isn't that long to reach the upper soil #sanseveria #dracaena #snakeplant
Also ignore the other accidental post about my snakeplant if you get it :)

5ft to light, direct
4β pot with drainage
Last watered 4 years ago
A unique feature of Sansevieria are their habit of creating 'pups' from the main plant. A fleshy rhizome will extend from the main root ball and then grow a vertical set of leaves beside the main plant. These pups will grow their very own root structures and can be divided from the main plant. (Found that online) I think your plant is fine, mine has the same and itβs growing up towards the top of the soil, I think itβll pop out soon lol.
@IndubitableIvy Thankyou. I thought it could be a pup but I've seen my snakeplant as always unhealthy and unhappy so i wasn't able to believe it was producing a pup...
@loveroftropics the snake plants I ordered arrived to my house frozen so they arenβt doing too well at the moment, but when I was reporting them I noticed a couple of those pups too so I still have hope lol.
@IndubitableIvy I hope your snek thrives!! thankyou:)
