This is a Blue Spire Sage. This was at the Master gardeners nursery this morning. This plant had literally dozens of big bumblebees on it while what a great pollinator. I am looking for one if I can’t find one I’ll see if I can find the seeds. 😄🌸🌼🪴🪻🧑‍🌾 #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #NewGrowth #OutdoorGrowing #TheWateringHole @HFplantoasis @HummingbirdMint @Idplantthat @ILoveMyPlants @Jadedbelle @Jujube @Luckeecharm1 @ModestCoconut13 @Ms.Persnickety @newplantgirlies @Preciousplants1 @princesspitstop @QuickKalopanax @sarah10orio @Shells_Garden @SillyPlantGirl @SizableSuncup20 @smushface @SolaceInSunshine @RefinedSandwort @Ponytailmom @Blhagmaier @BigPetunia80 @BEsucculent @UnbeatenSoybean @TopCoriander6 @stephongreg @ILoveMyPlants @SpyderLily @Ms.Persnickety @CutePolypremum @DreamMachine @ILoveMyPlants @MariansOasis @SillyPlantGirl @Tiffanypickles @4eva @ @NOLAPhoenix @Devsleafypals #Greggang #TheWateringHole #gracefulspurge #blanketplant
@Malagueña I just love the beautiful purple blue color . Reminds me of lavender. 👍🏽
@Preciousplants1 , I just ordered some seeds on Amazon. 👍🧑‍🌾
@Preciousplants1 Hello my dear Sherri! I *totally* agree. I loooove blue/purple flowers 🤩😍 And these ones are very beautiful Bob @Malagueña ! A friend of mine just brought me over a pineapple sage plant…but I looked it up and the flowers are bright red. Not that that’s bad or anything, but now I want a blue spire sage plant too 😂😂
@Malagueña thanks I’ll check into that. Are they perennials?
@DreamMachine awwww I’m sorry: maybe they’ll turn! I think I’m going to add more lavender. I have a small patch but the heat has most of them brown with some purple.
@DreamMachine this is what I have left, I water every couple days but we had 105 • straight sun ☀️ today this week and next Hopefully they’ll come back 🤞🏽
@DreamMachine @Malagueña 😢they look so pitiful 😢
@Preciousplants1 well, while I do see dried up bits, most of the leaves don’t look too bad! I’m wondering if they might be struggling to compete with the grass 🤔 When did you plant this one?
@DreamMachine , I think all the close by competition, grasses, weeds, etc should be removed either by hoeing or pulling them out by hand. When I put a plant in the ground I eliminate all the nearby competition. If the plants are in pots all the weeds get pulled. This year the big nuisance weed is the chamberbitter “ gripe weed”. It looks like a species of sensitive plant of mimosa but it’s not.
@Malagueña thank you 🙏🏽I agree I’ve done that several time, it will get purple then brown. Next time I’m goin to pot it 😂 I’ve been sick so have been out in a couple weeks 🤷🏽‍♀️
@DreamMachine my neighbor gifted it to me earlier summer and it was already having problems but after I put it in the ground it actually healed and was 90% purple.
@DreamMachine there are green leaves on the lilac. Not all weeds
