🌟OVER 140 MEMBERS !🌟
FEATURE: CP PODCAST AND CHARITY EVENT
So, I have been busy preparing and recording some episodes focused on CPs for the launch of the Podcast with Jess @JesssJungle ) and Rose Red @LaSiguanaba ) as well as preparing some blogs to help those with CPs.
Today I inspected the likely venues for a CP and collectible plants expo and fair I am organiszing for Spring in Perth (September -November 2024 or your autumn in the Northern Hemisphere) to gain donations and promote a new charity I am registering to help provide plants to those with challenges in life (whether it is mental or physical health issues, major life events like the death of someone close or major surgery) or addictions. I’ll add some photos of the venue I am hoping to book.
To help pay for the venue booking and charity, I have created a GoFundMe account and a few other means to provide for donations. But it all takes work and time while I am also enjoying my new Nepenthes form last week.
Who would have thought all of this arises from Jess @JesssJungle attending the St Louis CP Fair not that long ago and sharing her experience here! So I hope the event is supported and well-attended as I have already lined up some CP suppliers as vendors to attend.
But I would love to hear about your own CP journeys and share some photos and events in your CP world!

@LovehopePlant Hey tracy, thanks for your comments. Perhaps trying to locate your cursor somewhere else and see if it helps add a picture or send a screenshot and I may be able to identify the issue?
@ILoveMyPlants Hi Deb, that are not my Nepenthes 😂 I wish they were but I would shudder to think how much some of them might cost to buy 🥶
I do have some pretty Nepenthes and pitchers but I didn’t add them as I post some photos last week. So no pride here ! 😉👍😀🙏

Congrats @Seymour! Is the GoFundMe public yet? I'm sure people in the Greg community would love to support your charity project.
I recently attended plant swap at a local plant store and asked the host what they planned to do with the leftover plants but they didn't know yet. Later I thought it would be nice to just give them to people who might find comfort in having a houseplant - similar to your idea. Then I got nervous and didn't suggest it 🫤 but as a business that's community-minded I'm sure they came up with a good way to rehome the extra plants.

@ballondusoleil Ho Geraldine, that entirely aligns with me idea. But more when I get it organized as I did inspect a nice venue for an event later this year to publicise the charity and gain donations, I hope. Thanks so much for sharing 😊 I do have a GoFundMe but I will check with Alex before I do too much on Greg app as I don't want to impose myself on the community and respect that some people may not like me advertise my charity venture here. Maybe we could even look at the charity working in British Columbia or even Canada...but I need to get a few things organised. I think I have thought up a good name but it will take a little time and effort to register the charity so it is up and running fully. I also have an interview with Alex the CEO of Greg app coming up in the next few days (I hope). Lots happening but please accept this as a reply as I need to make the most of my time. @ILoveMyPlants Thanks Deb, I appreciate your support and we aim to give something of quality to the Greg community so it may take a little longer as we aim to ensure it is worthy of your time.
