This means it is time to move the plant into a larger home. When to RepotRoot growth: Look for roots creeping out of the bottom holes.Soil drying: Check if the soil dries out in less than two days.Slow growth: Notice if the vine stops growing during spring or summer.Plant size: Measure if the top growth is much bigger than the small pot. How to Move Up Choose size: Pick a pot that is only 1 or 2 inches wider than the old one.Keep material: Plastic or terracotta works well for the next size up.
