Good evening everyone. Is now 9:35 PM in West Central Florida and it’s still 90°. We had a very hot day here no rain. Here’s a photo, update, of my crêpe myrtle tree that I call Phoenix. This is a tree that was severely damaged several years ago by severe weather, including a hurricane and looked like it was dead. Late last year I took a chainsaw and, sadly, cut it down. It is now about 7 feet high and it’s been blooming for over a month. @Malagueña Beautiful! I have enjoyed viewing all the blooming crepe Myrtles on my way to work and back. It looks like it has been a good year for the blooms!
@SillyPlantGirl , yes, and all the decades that this crêpe myrtle has been planted. I do not remember it ever looking better.
@AC73LoveCats , I have been seeing two varieties, this reddish/purple one and a white one. There may be more varieties.
