Accidental plant haul!
I dragged myself out of the house on a lazy Sunday to pick up prescriptions by bribing myself with a spin through the local nursery. Sometimes I treat it like a trip to a small botanical garden - just to see what's there and appreciate plants.
(Did y'all know pharmacies are closed on Sundays? I probably did at one point in my life. 🙄)
And then... Then I found Leonardo. Who was BUSTING out of his 4" pot. Like WHOA. I split him up and he's still close to overcrowding the 5" pot AND comfortably fills the 3" one. 😂 There are 8 distinct stalks in there with robust root systems. And his coloring is gorgeous. 🤩🤩🤩

... Because I also found Duchess. A Marble Queen who was also waving at me from the bottom of her pot, and had clearly been through a little bit of a rough patch.
"She's no Majesty," I thought to myself, intensely aware that I had already enthusiastically emailed @BabeVila about swapping cuttings for this exact plant, just days ago. 🫣 (I am, perhaps, not a patient woman sometimes... 😂)
But the leaves. The new growth. The tiny forest of baby leaves at her heart. "I would call her Duchess," I thought, "because she is royalty, but not quite Majesty."
If I walked away, Duchess would haunt me. So I didn't even try.
Shannon, I am still totally on board for a swap. Coral is putting out some insane aerial roots right now and could use a lil trim 😁😁😁

@ShipofRockets Please don’t worry yourself about that! You see a beautiful plant, you have to get it. I’ve proven I can’t walk by a plant I like without buying it, lol. I would never begrudge you! She is beautiful! I looooove those leaves! My favorite thing is how unique every leaf is. I got another one yesterday because my mom wanted one for herself lol. But I will still take care of it 😆 we can totally still swap cuttings if you want, but if you want to pick another plant of mine or honestly whatever you want to do is fine with me 💚 Also, that is the cutest little snake plant. I keep seeing ones like that on here, and now I’m determined to find one. I like how cute and short but how densely they fill their pots. I just bought this tall one yesterday for my office, so I think she will need a little friend. Lol! Anyway, beautiful plant haul, I love that peperomia too! I almost got one like it yesterday, but I didn’t. Kicking myself! Enjoy your new babies! 🪴🪴🪴💚
@ShipofRockets You got it! I’m just waiting for her to grow a couple more good areas that I can cut for you and Marissa—I’ve already given 4 or 5 away and I want you to have a good amount of green for photosynthesis, and she has an awful lot of white right now so I’m just letting it balance back out lol. She has like 20 new leaves about to open though, so I’ll definitely have some ready soon! 😊
