I really donโt need any more plants but when these popped up on my Esty page, I just couldnโt resist these colors so I ordered them and Iโm in #Bromeliad love. I received 4 inch plants that are still growing into their colors. These will be beautiful for a long time. #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #PlantTherapy #AirPlant
@SweetAzurebluet Hi Harriet, thank you and I hope you have been well. Yes Bromeliads are pretty easy to care for and grow. Unlike airplants, bromeliads sit in soil and are also drought tolerant. I harvested the babies from my first Bromelaid and they are growing well but it takes 3-5 years for a pup to actually flower. I got impatient waiting. Iโve included photos of my pup plants just so you could see. This is plant needs bright indirect light, decent humidity and water every few week. Once yje flower is spent, the plant will eventually die off but it grows pups during the cycle and they can be harvest and repotted to start a new one. I definitely recommend getting one. I ordered mine from California Tropicals because I live in CA and it took only a few days to ship but there are other Etsy shops that sell them.
