Good afternoon everyone! I'm just wondering, are the seeds sprouting? Or is this just a piece of its skin falling off.. I laid it of soil about 2 days ago and this came. #happyplants #plantaddict #plantsmakepeoplehappy

This is just the leaf trying to send roots! Now if it will make it or not is up to how long it takes to send out a stem, but judging from the yellow leaf it probably won’t :/

It is trying to sprout roots but as @Slyvie said it has a very low chance of making it. 😢

The leaf rotted, that’s why it’s mushy and yellow. It probably got wet on the end before getting a chance to callous over. Moisture plus summer heat and bacteria = rotting for fresh succulent propagation.

@roxyvivien what about the green one? Is it rotting? Does it have a chance to sprout?

The green one is fine. It may grow roots and a bud depending on various conditions… only time will tell - Good news is that looks like a sedum species and they are very easy to propagate . Just “leaf it be” out of direct sunlight but in bright light and do not water it until there are roots.

@roxyvivien thanks, I'll "leaf it be" 😄 and make sure that it doesn't get direct, but instead indirect sunlight, thanks!!
