About Baby Bunny Bellies
Tradescantia chrysophylla is an exceptionally easy plant to care for and might surprise you with some of their delightful blossoms. They are extremely easy to propagate by stem and one plant can give rise to dozens of new ones, which makes them great for sharing. 🤝 As houseplants they often trail, but will also creep along the ground if grown outdoors. Their succulent leaves make them sensitive to frost, so be sure to bring them indoors if your winter temperatures dip below freezing. ❄️

Finding light for Baby Bunny Bellies in your home
Baby Bunny Bellies may have difficulty thriving, and will drop leaves 🍃, without ample sunlight.
Place it less than 3 feet from a south-facing window to maximize the potential for growth.
Select your region to see how the current weather in your area affects the placement of Baby Bunny Bellies in your home 🏡.
How to fertilize Baby Bunny Bellies
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Baby Bunny Bellies after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

I have 2 of these small plants. I’ve had them for several months. They sit on a window sill and always seem to grow very small, flimsy vines. Any tips? #BabyBunnyBellies

Ready to pot? Been propagating some #BabyBunnyBellies clippings for about 3 weeks now and I’m not super familiar with propagation so not fully sure when to pot them. Looks like a solid 1-2 inches of roots on some of the shoots. #waterpropagation

I had no idea that these could flower (and it’s the first of my tradescantia to do so! While being propped, no less) What a sweet surprise! #BabyBunnyBellies #HappyPlants #flowerpower #PropagationStation

New to tending plants! Help! #BabyBunnyBellies I was gifted a propagated Baby Bunny Belly cutting. It did great for the first two weeks, but now the leaves are wilted/thin/moist and the plant is starting to grow away from the window. This started after some of their light got blocked (been rearranging the room). Am I over watering? Is it getting too much/little sun? Help!

Gave this girl a MUCH needed haircut, she was almost bald on one side and now I have a bunch of propagations. Most of them are just vines but 2 of them are actual small plants with little to no roots. Once they start rooting would anyone want some? I want to give some to #greggivesback but there are a lot of them. The white on the plant in the second photo is just baby powder, I accidentally dropped some and forgot to wipe it off before taking pictures. #greggivesback #plantsmakepeoplehappy #plantaddict #plantmafia #plantingonabudget #greggang #propagationstation #propagation

What other plant parents say
BBB have fuzzy green & purple leaves that are generally smaller than wandering dude. They like bright, indirect light to full light. It grows quickly and likes to dry out between waterings (not too long, or the leaves will crisp). Bottom-watering helps preserve the fuzzy nature of the leaves. Looks great hanging or on a shelf - trails beautifully.
They can flower.
