Can tolerate drying out between watering but will do much better with consistent even watering. Can tolerate low light but does well with 3-5 hours direct sun daily. Too much sun will scorch and make leaves pale.

If your a novice gardener, I would highly recommend this plant. It simply requires water and being near a window (where I live).
It’s a beautiful plant that everyone can enjoy and it’s looks nice in my home. If you are looking for large leaves, this is definitely a good option.
Also, if you are cat mom/dad/parent it’s ok for kitties! My cat took small bites of it so I took him to the vet just to make sure he was ok and he was fine. It’s very nice not having to worry or hide it (which is basically impossible to do for a cat because they can jump).
Also, because of mental health issues, being busy, etc. I accidentally have neglected it multiple times. But after a bit of water and TLC it was the same plant, if not healthier!

These plants are very hardy. All the spider plants I have are grown pups of an original from over 12 years ago, and they are thriving.

I love this plant because it is so strong and can jump back even after near death. Perfect for those wanting to propagate and make a bunch of spider plant babies. Variegated ones are a good option for a pop of color in their desk spaces.
