How to fertilize Austrian Poppy

Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Austrian Poppy after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

I can only get these to sprout and then they die. What am I doing wrong? #OpiumPoppy I finally got my babies growing! They are so big! Every time I water them they just get bigger. However I'm wondering when I will have pods growing? They seem to be at the lettuce stage but how long does this last? I have Tasmanian and Giganteums. I'm looking forward to their beautiful flowers but when will that happen?
