How to fertilize Calathea 'Furry Feather'
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Calathea 'Furry Feather' after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

I have recently started parenting Cathedral Windows plants. I replaced the soil with fresh potting mix and keep the plant under grow light. I see most of the leaves drying out and dying. Any suggestions to protect it would be helpful! #CathedralWindows

My leave are shriveling up on the edges why? I keep it moist not water logged and 2-3 feet from sun. So why is it dying? #RoseCalathea

Indoor help #CathedralWindows Hi! I have had this plant since the summer. It used to sit outside of my front door and it did very well outside, but once the temps dropped I brought it inside and it’s not been doing very well since. The edges of the leaves are browning and it tries to grow new leaves, but they turn pale yellow and never reach normal. It was underneath a vent and right beside a window so I moved it farther from the window and farther from the vents. What can I do to help it start growing healthy again? Is it just experiencing some shock from moving inside? Does it need a bigger pot? I will definitely put it back outside when it warms up again in the spring, but it won’t be warm enough consistently until March or April.

My plant is dying we cut of some leaves to help but it keeps on dying. I’m pretty new to taking care of plants. I just put her back on a grow light today. #PinstripePlant

What’s wrong with my calethea?? I have had this plant for a year now and have been fighting with it the whole time. If you see the leaf at the bottom it is starting to curl and will eventually die. I certainly dont overwater this plant. Sometimes I may wait a little too long to water it but right now that’s not the case. I try not to have it near any drafts. ( we don’t use our heater in the picture). the people who are calathea experts please help, this plant was gifted by a special person 🙏

My calathea seems pretty happy but has some super sad leaves, see below. Any idea what’s wrong? It the activity it says recently repotted, but that’s not correct… #Calathea #CalatheaCrew

Spider mites Calathea? I think my new-ish calathea has spider mites. I think it’s a humidity issue for the plant that may have caused them but how do I treat her now? #PestControl #spidermites #Calathea #NewPlantDad
