Formosan Creeping Fig
About Formosan Creeping Fig
Did you know that all plants in the Ficus genus produce figs? In fact, the word Ficus quite literally means figs! Even cooler, all figs are pollinated by tiny wasps that use the fruits as a safe place to raise their young. 🐝 Ficus plants also contain latex which emerges as a milky sap when twigs are broken. This latex makes them toxic, so be sure to keep a close eye out if you have children or pets!

How to fertilize Formosan Creeping Fig
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Formosan Creeping Fig after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

My creeper fig is dried out! I got this lovely creeper fig literally one week ago and half of its vines have completely dried out! The soil is a healthy level of moist and it gets decent sun. I have no idea why it would take such a turn so quickly! Before and after shots attached.

The leafs are falling, I don’t know what is the reason, I’m watering it weakly and I kept it away from window thought maybe it’s direct sun but leafs keep falling I purchase it less than 2 months ago😞 #Ficus

Yellow, dropping leaves In the last week I’ve had 3 mature leaves yellow and drop. All leaves were on the side of the plant facing away from the window. I tried rotating it 2 days ago but this morning it lost another leaf and two more look yellow (same side, but now facing the light). It was last watered 5 days ago. We had 2 new leaves immediately after repotting 3 months ago but no new growth since. Please let me know if you have any recommendations. #Ficus

Just sharing the progress of my ficus over the last 2 years. I’d highly recommend them, so much fun and it puts up with anything I do to it, always wiring it and snipping bits off. (when I first got it I tied bags around it’s arial root stumps to get them to grow down into the soil). My eventual goal is a nice semicircular shaped foliage #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantTherapy #FicusGang #Ficus #BeforeAndAfter
