How to fertilize Acrostichum Aureum
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Acrostichum Aureum after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

What’s going on with my heart fern? My heart fern has developed these weird brown patches all over in the last few weeks. I don’t see any signs of pests, so I’m not sure what’s causing it. Does ayone have any ideas of what this is, or suggestions for what I can do to help the plant? Thanks! #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #PlantCorner #PlantProblems #brownspots #brownleaves #theamigos #HeartFern #Diseases #LaSiguanaba #theamigos

Thirsty #HeartFern I recently got my first heart fern and find my his leaves curling almost daily. When I pick him up he’s really dry. Is this caused by the grow light?
-
Is this a nutrient deficiency? I’ve been watering when the leaves curl up, keeping in high humidity, misting, and it’s mildly root bound (which I’ve heard heart ferns prefer). Is this yellowing a nutrient deficiency? What kind of nutrients do heart ferns need? Thanks!

My heart fern is BY FAR the most dramatic of my plants. When I left for work this morning, it was maybe a little dry looking and I made a mental note to water it when I got home today. When I got home it was completely dried out, every single leaf was curled and dull in color. I let it bottom soak in a bowl of water for about 30 minutes, and then 3 hours later it was back to looking completely healthy 😂

Golden Leather Fern Hey everyone! My golden leather fern took a weird turn within the past couple of days. I recently went out of town for a week and she looked fine before I left. My Mother sent me a picture of her last night and she looks very shriveled up. I’m wondering if this could be due to insufficient watering? I was watering based on Greg’s recommendations, but I am aware that this is just a guide. She got a tiny bit of sun outside today and she looks a little better after being watered yesterday, but a majority of her fronds are still shriveled. Any input and advice is appreciated! Thank you so much in advance! #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #NewGrowth #PlantTherapy #NewPlantMom #PlantMoms #FernFriends #Fern #help #PropagationStation
