To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Philodendron 'Red Congo' after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

ID help please! App says this is a blushing philodendron but I'm not sure it is. It is 100% a self-heading Philodendron. Leaves come in pinkish orange and mature to dark green with a lovely thin pink leaf edge. The leaf 'spears' (the bits that produce the new leaves) are bright red and pretty much stay that way. There are smaller parts of the plant that are just green at the base but the largest portion has maintained the lovely reddish coloring since I got it last year. It was in a 'mystery' pack of plants so it didn't come with any ID. I adore it, whatever it is, but I'd love to know what I have. You can find pics of it from the time it was a baby until now on its page :) Thanks!

I do not have a problem. (Says the person who can't stop buying plants. Lol) Just picked up this clearance Rojo Congo Philo today. Has a new leaf still unfurling and another on the way from the second plant. Might have a 3rd tiny one in there too, but won't know until I repot later on. #plantaddict #newgrowth #plantsmakepeoplehappy #tropicalplants #philodendron

New plant having issues #Philodendron I received this plant last night. I unpacked it wiped it down and left it overnight. When I woke up this morning (I should have taken a photo before going to work), the stem and leaves were bendy/droopy. I kind of held it up with Velcro before I left. Can some one please help me on what I should do to save this plant l?? 🙏🏼🙏🏼

Over watered rojo congo #Philodendron Boy do I need help with this one. Ingot Leonardo online least week. Leaves were bent and droopy. I contacted the vendor who replaced this plant. Waiting on my delivery I decided to get in there and see if I could salvage this one. When I took him out the pot the soil was drenched so I cleaned him up as much as I could saving the roots I thought looked good and repotted him but did not water. Does anyone think I can Sam age him???

A ROJO CONGO! Found this plant on clearance and a bit of a rescue 🛟 plant so it doesn’t look it’s best but certainly an intriguing Philodendron. Does anyone else have one of these and can they share photos so I can see how they can look when in a healthier state. It’s a Philodendron tatei ssp melanonchlorum #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #NewGrowth #Philodendron #PhiloFlock #rojocongo #GregGang #theamigos #Seymour #PhilodendronPinkPrincess #PLANTMAFIA

Loved this plant so much we got another. We made a few mistakes (direct sunlight is a no no) but upon moving it and giving it time and love it’s grown new leaves. And it’s looking good. Hoping to nurse it back to its full health this winter.
Easy to care for, lush leaves.
