About Jade Pothos
Jade pothos deep green leaves are definitely a fan favorite. Feng shui experts say placing pothos in sharp corners or angles in your home can reduce anxiety and stress. 😌
A NASA/ALCA study on the use of common plants for indoor air purification also labeled golden pothos—along with Philodendron and spider plants—as the most effective in removing formaldehyde from the air. 💨

How to fertilize Jade Pothos
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Jade Pothos after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Limp and Broke I noticed a few days ago that a leaf tuned yellow and then died, but the overall plant was looking like a limp noodle. Since it hangs above my head, I got up to look at its soil when I noticed the plant wasn’t even connected to the soil anymore! So I cut the end and stuck it in water, I moved it to a north window that gets bright indirect light. I feel like pothos are pretty hardy and it will survive, anything else I can do to ensure? This plant is a prop from great-grandmas OG. I did get some new props too, there was a long piece of stem that had ZERO leaves, but I cut it anyways and started to prop stems (two 4 inch) #JadePothos #PothosPack #PothosWater #PothosPack

Ope looks like we have an imposter! 😂 I was sure it was a jade pothos until my mom gave me more cuttings and I said “oh yay, golden pothos, now I have one of each” and she said “no I never gave you a jade pothos, I only have golden” upon closer inspection the new leaves it grew since I potted it show the truth 😂 I guess it’s getting better light now hehe. #PothosPack

Brown tips on some leaves #JadePothos Any and all suggestions very much welcome! I moved my pot to a sunnier spot, where it apparently preferred being and new growth stabilised. After a week in that position, it got a water (so 5 days ago), and since then, there's been some brown tips appearing. I'm wondering if it's actually been accidentally over-watered and is now waterlogged? And as such, would it perhaps benefit being repotted with fresh soil? Thanks!! 😊

Just got this last Friday. Any idea why the leaves are turning yellow? There are also some tiny brown spots on a couple of leaves. Anyone have any advice? Thanks!! #JadePothos

Please help me I’ve had her for over a year and I’ve never had troubles, but now it’s like she’s so weak the leaves are crumbling together and they are very thin. The branches are not so stiff anymore. What can I do? #JadePothos

Water Issue I have a hanging plant (pathos) that has been thriving for years. Recently I noticed when I water her, the water goes straight thru the soil and she isn’t as happy. What do I do?

Pothos is such a reliable plant. I just wanted to take a moment to appreciate my pothos lol. I repotted it 2 weeks ago with these lovely beefy roots it propogated, and now it’s already putting out new leaves and growing 😍 It’s by far my favourite plants for a beginner, that or my English ivy, they always cheer me up with their new sprouts, but my mom says she can’t keep them alive for some reason, and she’s great with plants so 🤷♀️ Just a ramble, feel free to post your favourite hardy growers lol they deserve a round of applause. #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #greggang #PothosPack

I noticed that. My plant has started to produce some yellow leaves closer to the pot. I think that's over watering, but I'm watering it to Greg's schedule but when I touch the soil it dry there is also some yellow leaves down the longer shoots. Help #JadePothos

It's done great in this spot up until 2 weeks ago some of its leaves have been yellowing? #JadePothos

These bad boys are *damn near impossible* to kill. This was grown from cuttings from my mom, lived in a cup of water for several YEARS getting watered at irregular intervals, pruned back several times when it got too leggy, survived a bout of root rot… even when it finally got a pot, I still didn’t give it all the love it deserved. But here it is, possibly a decade later, thriving away. My favorite thing about pothos is how well it communicates, its leaves get very dramatic when it needs water, but bounce back quickly.

If your green thumb isn’t so green this is the plant for you. Super easy to grow. Before I discovered Greg I watered it when it looked droopy. Since watering on a schedule it’s doubled in size. It loves fresh rain water but tolerates tap water and will thrive in indirect sunlight but does well with minimal light too. When the vines get too long I cut it off and put the cuttings in a glass of water to root. Once the cuttings have roots plant them in good soil and you’ve got another plant to enjoy.

I’ve had this plant for over 40 years. Why is it so small, you ask? I’ve nearly killed it numerous times, the last time so badly that all I could do to save it was take cuttings. I think the plain old jade pothos is so under-rated. I don’t ever even see it in stores anymore but it’s a gorgeous, shiny green and I prefer it to my variegated ones. Check back in a couple of years. I bet he’ll be huge again.

Easy to care for and usually hallways have lush, shiny green foliage. I admit I forget to water as frequently as I should but she thrives just as well as some of my desert plants! She’s even grown a few extra leaves while I wasn’t looking. My mom use to grow pothos while I was growing up and she still has the same mother plant along with quite a few clippings that she propagated and she’s even given quite a few away over the years. She’s always loved her pothos and when I started my plant journey and I knew it would be a good pick. They survive easily, it has to endure major neglect for even a few the leaves to brown, even I have maybe encountered one brown leaf from any my plants. At the same time, it’s hard to overwater these plants and they grow super fast. Even the clippings usually only take a few days, tops two weeks before the roots are ready to plant into dirt. My mom always just cut off the super long vines and would stick them in a vase with water until they had long enough roots and I don’t think she ever even had any of the clippings die! Very easy beginner plant even for the brownest of thumbs.
