Terrarium drain hole? Fern + Baby's Tears
Hi! I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with terrariums with drainage holes. I set up a new plastic terrarium with potting soil and did not add a drainage layer. The terrarium itself is on a heating mat (72F) and under a grow light until it warms up. Would you recommend I add a drainage hole since I do not have a drainage layer? I can see a lot of water around the edges of the dirt as evident in the photo.
I can provide more info below if necessary. Thanks for any help!

@Avocadonerd Thank you! I've had success with other pots without drainage holes by frequently checking soil, but I'd imagine the terrarium environment will keep things pretty thoroughly moist so it will be difficult to tell.
@Poke yeah, I usually have draining pots but I have mostly desert plants so I donβt add too much water in fear theyβll drown.
@clairsheart Do you think I should leave it as is? I repotted it yesterday so I could see how it is doing in a week or two.
