Is my peace lily dying?
#PeaceLily
I just received my new peace lily 2 days back. The soil was already wet, so I haven't watered it till now. It is really cold around my place, but the plant gets sunlight for 1 hr and then almost no sunlight. Although I have kept it inside my apartment, next to my balcony window and the apartment maintains a good 74 degrees temp.
The leaves seem to be dry and almost dead. Should i cut those leaves? How do I save my plant?

Welcome to Greg, Anshika! It looks like your plant has seen some STUFF.
Was your plant mailed to you? Going though the post office can wreak havoc on plants.
Was it looking that bad when you got it? It looks like a Costa Farms pot-within-a-pot. I would pull that inner plastic pot out and let your plant's soil dry out for a few days. It seems like it has been overwatered.
After a few days, when the soil is dried out, you might want to take a peek at the roots. Peace lilies are susceptible to root rot which will cause the leaves to look like that.
I'm afraid that's what you're dealing with. ):

@StackedCentaury what I have done with one of my peace lilies is remove it completely from the soil and trim any unhealthy roots, then placed it in a glass vase with water. I would at least remove it from the soil and repot it in something less moist, wait a bit to water it and if you notice any mushy roots, take them off because they arenβt helping the plant out anymore. Hope this helps, I love my peace lilies β€οΈ
