Can anyone tell me what succulent this is?
#help #WhatPlantIsThis #SucculentSquad #identify Hi, I’m new to having any plants, and this little guy fell off of another succulent at the store when I bought my succulent Foxxy, the unknown succulent is still pretty young from what my dad has told me, and I I’ve asked on this app a few days ago about this, but I only got one reply and I’m still not sure, please if you know or might have an idea of what it is, please do tell me. Anything helps, thank you! Please do ignore the word Sera, it is what I plan to name it once I somewhat know what it is.
What was the answer you received on your previous post? Many succulents look a lot alike when they're this young, so it's hard to ID until it gets a bit older/bigger and some of its true characteristics show up. It looks like it *might* be headed in a sedum or graptosedum direction, but again, it's just too hard to tell for sure this early on. Making sure it gets lots of direct light will be crucial to bring out its true coloring and make sure it grows correctly. Not enough light and it will stay green and the growth will be more stretched out and leggy, which will make it even more difficult to ID. You'll just have to try and be patient on this one 😊
@stephonicle they said that it looks like a Florist Kalanchoe
@LikelyChaya33 no way, it's definitely not a florist kalanchoe (if you look them up you'll see what I mean lol). For one, a florist kalanchoe's leaves have scalloped edges, and leaves grow in pairs, not individual alternating leaves like your little guy. Do the leaves feel thin or thick? Are the surfaces smooth or do they have a fine coating of hairs?
