does anyone have this problem? i got this alocasia bambino a few weeks ago and her leaves are turning brown. i’m also not sure if this is the exact name for this plant, the store had her labeled as “elephant ear alocasia” LOL #AlocasiaBambino

I’d take it out if that soil all together. Use pon or some version of it with a self watering pot.

Looks like my Alocasia Polly. Bright indirect light, very close to my humidifier. Never complete dry soil but doesn't want to be soggy

@celestia you can find it on Amazon.  That’s where I get mine.  This is what it looks like. You can see my alocasia is growing a root out the top lol.  You can also try Leca too. Some people really like it.

Mine started doing the same thing when I first brought it home. The game changer was the humidity. The leaves stopped turning brown after I moved it from a spot with 30-40% humidity to a cabinet that I keep around 50-70%. Hope this helps, good luck!
