Pathos Propagation
Good morning fellow plant enthusiasts!
I was recently gifted four individual pathos cuttings, and I was wondering if anyone had any tips on how to successfully propagate and transfer the cuttings into a pot?
I’ve tried to propogate once before with a pathos and it wasn’t successful, so I’m looking for all the help I can get! #pathos #propogationstation #PlantAddict

I’ve been successful just having them in tap water until the “roots are as large as the cutting”. I know there’s other numbers out there, like 1/3 or whatever, but I just base it on the cutting (if it’s more than 3-4 leaves long then I might opt for 1/3)
Just have in a well lit spot, wait for the roots. Nice if there’s roots from more than one node imo. Then I’d transfer the cutting to loose, coarse type soil - but I’ve had success in a variety of soils. I don’t water it like crazy yet once it’s first in soil. But luckily pothos are easy to get, unless it’s a rarer more personally significant cutting of course!

I just chucked mine into a nice bottle i found, tap water. It's been in here for a couple months now. Having a tinted bottle, particularly a dark on, helps minimise algae while you can still see the roots.
I've tried floating a small cutting in my tank bfr. It roots, but if it gets stuck underwater for too long it rots away

@PoliteMayten thank you so much! It’s luckily four individual nodes/leaves so I’m hoping I have luck with repotting them after the roots have grown!
@Araceae oh I love, and thank you so much! I did end up chucking them into a cup I have and putting them on a window seal. Your pathos vine is very pretty tho!
