Plant issue!

Hello plant people πŸͺ΄ I got this mini (variegated?) jade plant a couple of months ago, and recently it has started to go down.. leaves are wilting and falling, while the stem feels firm. It is placed in quite bright indirect light, indoors. Also, it’s been several weeks since I last watered it, but u know succulents.. better dry than overwatered! Any suggestion in order not to let her die / go bald? 😳 #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #SucculentLove #NewPlantMom #PlantGraveyard #JadePlant
What kind of soil is she in?
Might have root rot. I would definitely repot into a succulentnt mix and check to see how the roots are doing. If there’s any squishiness, cut that off… may want to try and propagate some pieces while you’re at it it just in case!
I would very gently take her out of the situation she is in and do a root check. If the roots look good I would then change the change the growing medium to a more arid soil. This is what I do with mine to give them plenty of water when needed and airflow to dry as needed for a healthy happy plant ! I can’t tell what your medium or growing situation is so please don’t think I am cutting you down, I am only telling you how I do things.
@HappySelah25 just regular plant soil I think, not succulents mix for sure.. however, the other mini cacti and mixed succulents I got are doing fine!
@AceBarley34 @S.ham13 thank you! I’ll definitely have a look at those roots and go for a proper potting mix then.. hoping for the best, as it’s such a pretty little plant to me πŸͺ΄
@EatMoreVeggies I would give it drink more often. The succulents with the trunks or mini trunks like to be watered more than once everyy 3-4 weeks in my experience. If you do that and make sure it gets plenty of indirect sunlight, it should be fine! Sometime a new pot helps as well! I wish you both the best of luckπŸͺ΄πŸŒΌ
Adding to what others have said.

An elephant bush absolutely demands 6 hours of direct sun a day. Indirect light and they will drop leaves like crazy!! There is no way around it with these, they are picky.

Since you have succulent experience I don't think it's the care with watering or soil. Since all of your others are fine.

I also have many cacti and succulents but these are very picky with sun. Some kinds will be fine with less direct light. If you have a south facing window that will help but it must be in direct sun.
@EatMoreVeggies some are just more finicky I guess. If you have it available you might try repotting in well draining mix; soil, perlite, bark, sand, coco coir. I plant most of my plants in some version of this mix. They really do well in it.
@Ponytailmom @SuperbRaspfern @HappySelah25 thank y’all! I’ll check roots (and soil, if necessary) and move it to a brighter spot πŸͺ΄ hoping for the best!
@EatMoreVeggies You’re welcome!
It seems like it was overwatered.
