Hmm. Doesn't look like trauma (for example a chunk breaking off while being packaged or during shipping). Unfortunately I'm not familiar enough with this type of cactus to say it looks like one thing or another, but I'd definitely reach out to the Etsy seller and send them pics of the damage.

Yeah it looks like old damage to me that’s scarred over. Also be careful that it goes into a pot which does have drainage.

@RealSimpleMama @stephonicle I already repotted with drainage. The seller said she will send another. I just trimmed off the dead section.
