Browning and dropping leaves

I posted about this pothos the other day, but it’s got much worse! massive amounts of the leaves are now browning, and i’ve just had two mostly healthy looking leaves fall off in my hands (you can see the breaks in the pic)

My regular pothos has had no problems and thrives, but the leaves are just rotting off on this, even fresh ones.

Care notes: recently put under a grow light to try and increase light and reduce browning. sparse soil with perlite. Light reads 500 on my meter (not sure what is measures in, highest on the meter is 2000)
10ft to light, indirect
5” pot with drainage

Highly variegated plants prefer their soil to be kept slightly moist all the time, if their soil becomes too dry, they will get brown spots on the leaves. They also dislike too much harsh lights, heats, and low humid as the variegated parts of the leaves are their weakest part, which get die off easier than their green parts.
@SpiffyGonolobus Its probably a bit of everything then, how annoying! Thanks for this, very informative :)
