Is my cactus okay? Was root bound/yellowing at base.
#Chichipe I just got this cactus from Lowe’s on Saturday. Took it out of the pot it came in to find it was very root bound and discovered yellowing at the base. Does anyone know if this lil guy has a chance at survival? Or is it too late? I untangled the roots and gave them a trim so this is the after photo. Thanks in advance!

Hi, Morgan! It looks okay to me from the picture. Usually, that part is where the cactus in in the soil. It can get like that over time to toughen up. (: Almost all of my cacti look like that if I pull them out of the soil. It's normal as long as it's not soft (and it doesn't look like it's soft).
