I'm pretty sure this plant can handle a lot of sunlight - they are from pretty dry, sunny places.
The reason it looks a little leggy might be because it isn't getting as much sun as it needs.
You can chop that baby, let it dry for a few days, and put the stems back into soil that isn't saturated. Less water is better because these plants from from arid places and they are pretty drought-tolerant. (:
