@EarlyJicaro43 did you notice any root rot? Was the soil too wet? Also, too much sunlight will fade her leaves and cause sun-scalding to occur. These are jungle cacti, unlike their desert cousins they should not get direct sunlight. Also always add tags and pictures to your posted questions.
