Why won't she perk up?

My Rhaphy decursiva is driving me insane. I had her in a chunky soil mix, but I noticed she was drooping. I checked her roots, and there was root rot. So I cut away the roots and put her in water to grow new ones. She's still so droopy. Is there something I can do to get her to perk back up? #plantaddict #plantsmakepeoplehappy

Hi Philli!
When did you put her in water? There is a good chance she is putting all her energy to making new roots and won't perk up much until she has quite a few established.
Hi Philli, I agree with Ashley in that the plant will probably be focusing all of its energy right now on creating the new roots rather than perking up your leaves, but once you get those roots grown in water, the plant will begin to focus back on the leaves. Hopefully in about a week you’ll have some roots and then hopefully the leaves will start to perk up. I would also recommend using some rooting powder to support this with growing the new roots and to quicken the process. Hope that helps :-)
@PlantMompy and @louisahart, thank you! I will just be patient. As far as rooting powder, do I put it into the water with the plant or treat some other way?
Rooting powder is only added to plants going to dirt, it’ll just wash off in water. You could add fertilizer to the water to help give some nutrients while it’s growing new roots. I usually add a product like Marphyl to props as it’s not super strong.
@wolfqueen yes you can do, rooting powder works best in soil or perlite, and rooting gel works well in water β—‘Μˆ
@danisgreenhouse, I'll have to look into Marphyl. Thanks!
@louisahart, thank you. Maybe I'll get some gel.
