Should I leave aloe plant in the cold
@StarHemlock Welcome to Greg, Renee!
Protecting your aloe plant in the cold season is critical. Aloe is only hardy in the USDA plant hardiness zones
However, even with its hardy state, it cannot tolerate cold temperatures below 40 degrees Fahrenheit. Aloe plants thrive in temperatures between 55 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit. This makes aloe vera an ideal houseplant.

Hi, @StarHemlock, welcome to Greg! I wouldn’t leave aloe in the cold unless I was able to monitor the temperature and make sure it didn’t get below 60°F with wind gusts included. 60°F is the safe temperature while 60-75°F is a safe range for “overwintering”and storing our beloved warm climate plants.

I might disagree slightly with @KikiGoldblatt and @FitSedum. I leave mine out unless it's gonna freeze.
It definitely will depend on the specific species, it's location in regards to your home, and how cold it's gonna get.
