Are they pests? If so what do I do?

When you tell everyone on Greg the plant is going fine...then you notice something the next day...πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ #PestControl

I found small black bugs flying around Pearl...i think that they're gnats...there isn't a lot of them at the moment, but what to I do? #Sedum #SucculentSquad

I couldn't get a good picture cuz they like to hide in her foliage...

Just let it dry out, remove decomposing plant material, and maybe set up a lil gnat trap.

If you still notice gnats after two weeks, think about replacing the soil and try bottom watering!
You probably have fungus gnats. They like damp soil so don’t overwater. Sticky traps help and I add hydrogen peroxide to my plant water. They are pesky and difficult to get rid of. 😊
Sprinkle cinnamon on your soil. I agree with @Pegster they do like wet soil. TBH I would bottom water then you won't have soil that's wet on top to attract the little buggers
Make sure you quarantine the plant NOW! It’s hard to rid them from one plant. Horrible from all of your plants!
Gnats just let the soil/media get bone dry. No need for chemical warfare. They only thrive in prolonged moisture.
Hope you found some clarity! Best of luck πŸ’œ
