A Hoya pubicalyx typically prefers bright indirect sunlight. It can live in a low lit area but will grow slower and most likely won’t bloom. If kept in direct sunlight, it’s leaves will become burned from the sun and cause permanent damage. They do not like lots of water and when it’s time to water, the soil should be completely dry. When you do water it (abt every 7-14 days), make sure to soak the soil until water drains out the hole at the bottom of the pot. I would recommend a terracotta pot to help the soil breathe and it helps absorb extra water. I hope this helped! 😊
Agreed with everything @Succulent_Soul said. There aren’t really low light plants, only low light tolerant. My hoyas were stuck in limbo until I gave them the premium sunny spots in the house and added a humidifier (I live in super dry Colorado, so our house is usually at like 15%. Now they’re in a room that stays at 45%.) My publicalyx is in an easy window and is very happy there! Ditto on the watering!
