Last fall i propagated a small leaf off a larger succulen...

Sometimes that's the circle of life: the roots grow and the leaf starts to wither- THEN it has new growth.

But for further information, I would consult the experts: @vvvelo @Hypsie (if she isn't busy) and @Yeeha234 @ZestfullyDwarf and everyone else in the #SucculentSquad

It looks to me as though the growing point, where the roots come out, is under the dirt. A new plant might start that way but typically all you get it roots. If it was last fall…you should have a plant by now. If it truly is a sempervivum then it should be a plant by now. Are the roots pink or white?
