Sad Cocoa Tree

Hello friends! We got this Cocoa tree about 2 months ago. We didn’t know anything about this tree and after research did our best. We put it next to an east facing window where it got lots of direct sunlight. Soon after the leaves started to turn light green and brown. We moved it away from the window and we’re also worried about root rot so we gave it a larger container with drainage and succulent soil. It hasn’t gotten worse since we have done this but it hasn’t gotten any better. The soil stays pretty saturated and takes a very long time to dry. #sendhelp #cocoatree
10ft to light, indirect
18” pot with drainage
Last watered 2 years ago
Oh no😲 I don’t know a lot about these guys, but I do know they need a lot of humidity and without it the leaves turn brown and funky. I actually never had one because they seem so finicky and I wasn’t up for the challenge with the humidity needs.
My plant did that and it was because of too much sun
