Pothos leaves turning yellow??

My marble queen pothos has a yellow leaf here and there that turn yellow then drop. It’s definitely not over watering.. I stay far away from that. I have her in very well draining soil (perlite and pear moss and dirt mix). When I repotted her this year all the roots were super healthy. The only thing I can think is maybe because she has SO MANY rootsβ€”it’s crazy how fast they grow!! That she is tight for space?? Would that cause the yellow leaves? And if so.. do I cut them back next when I repot?? #help #pothos #yellowleaves
7ft to light, indirect

@katiewhip It's great that you're attentive to watering and have repotted it with healthy roots. However, if it's not overwatering, there are a few other things to consider: Having a lot of roots can indeed lead to root crowding, which can affect the plant's overall health. When the roots are cramped, they might not be able to take up nutrients effectively, leading to yellowing leaves. If you suspect this is the case, it could be a good idea to repot your pothos into a slightly larger container during its next repotting session. Time to RSVP with some extra nutrients to keep the leaves looking fresh! plants need their vitamin D too! You can consider using a balanced liquid fertilizer during the growing season (spring and summer) to provide the plant with the necessary nutrients. Pothos plants can shed their older leaves, especially if new growth is appearing at the same time. If the yellow leaves are predominantly the older ones and new leaves are emerging healthy, it might be a natural process. If the yellow leaves are scattered and not a widespread issue, it might be due to natural leaf shedding or minor stress. You can prune away the yellow leaves to improve the overall appearance of the plant. When repotting, ensure you provide a bit more space for the roots to spread out comfortably. plants do go through cycles, and some leaf loss is normal. Keep monitoring your pothos, adjust its care as needed, and it should continue to thrive!
Some times the leaves will die… pinch off and don’t stress. More sunlight will also cause the leaves to be more variegated in some varieties. πŸͺ΄
Thank you both!!
