Brown ends to Aloe Vera leaf

Was wondering what is the most common cause of this happening? Its in a self watering plastic pot, using indoor lights. New to house plants, living in Utah. 😎 #houseplant #aloevera

Hello! What an adorable set up 🀩 My initial thought is if the aloe is in a self watering pot, it must be staying fairly moist right? Aloe are super drought tolerant plants as they thrive in the desert and don’t require much water at all!

With Aloe, you don’t want the soil staying moist as it will cause root rot! I’d personally recommend removing the plant from its pot & evaluate the roots for rot or fungal bacteria.

If there are any grey, mushy roots - gently remove those and spray any remaining roots down with 3% hydrogen peroxide to dry them out & preven bacteria from spreading more!
