How do I propagate a Thanksgiving Cactus?

I have some pieces that fell off, and I've no idea how to prop it. What's the most successful way to do so? #happyplants #plantsmakepeoplehappy #cactusclique #propagationstation
5” pot with drainage

Either water prop and then soil or straight into soil, always keep moist and they should take off.
It’s easy! Just cut off a section of at least three leaves, let it sit for a day to let the cut close, and stick it in the ground. I got my Thanksgiving Cactus just this way. Use a few because it will give you a fuller pot. πŸ’•
I put mine into soil. The poor sad thing is still alive, but no growth in 6 months. 😭😭🫣. I think I'm dragging out the poor thing's death. But it was from a section that had dropped from my cactus, so probably not the healthiest section to attempt to propagate.
@TruthfulApricot Will it work with just a leaf with two sections?
Annika, two sections should work just fine, but if they're a but wrinkly (since they fell off I'm assuming they are) the chances of success are pretty low... I would go with water prop for these ones and then later you can cut some healthier pieces to try soil prop. (:
@WickedValkryie Okay, thank you!!
Anytime ☺️
@LittleSongbird I had 4. I think you’d probably need 3 to have a better chance of success.
