Baby tears causing tears

I rescued this #BabysTears from a Walmart clearance stand, but I’ve taken him from bad to worse.

I took him out of his store pot, cleaned out all of the dead pieces, removed rotten roots, repotted it, waited overnight (it was SO SOGGY), and then watered it. It’s been declining ever since. πŸ˜₯

Is there anything else I could do to help it, or it is a lost cause?

Kinda off topic…uh your pots are amazing. Your plants are beautiful. Ok now on topic, this happened with a lot of my store bought plants, they die and then I grief water until they live again πŸ˜…
I think since it had root rot you should put in the correct soil and not water it for maybe a week and really let it get some indirect light
If you’ve removed the root rot I’d suggest putting it on an East/ West facing window- i know all the guides say it can’t handle a direct windowsill light but my plant literally tripled in size by doing so and watering every 4 days (or when the leaves felt soft). Again it’s probably plant specific but you never know until you try
