Help! I repotted and she’s stressed ☹️
#Dracaena Gurus! 7 foot Dracaena that I had to repot (roots were staying wet too long…). Dry patches starting at tips and sometimes where the light green spots are. I’m afraid to water as she dry only to 2inches into the soil. I assume she’s stressed by the repot and that she doesn’t have disease…I moved her 3feet Northeast position to 5feet Southwest (needed the ceiling height!). NOTE: the root ball was not totally intact when repotted. About half of it got separated 😩. Any feedback or advice?

@InformedMum Yes, your 7-foot Dracaena fragrans can recover, but it is in deep shock. Losing half the roots during repotting cuts its water supply. Brown tips are a direct sign of this root loss and stress.Recovery StepsPrune brown tips: Cut off dead tips with clean scissors. Leave a tiny bit of brown so you do not cut the green part.Water with care: Water only when the top two inches of soil feel dry. Do not overwater because fewer roots mean it drinks much less.Skip fertilizer: Do not feed the plant for at least three months. Fertilizer can burn weak roots.Provide bright light: Place it in bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sun, which burns leaves.Raise humidity: Mist the leaves often or put a pebble tray nearby. This helps the plant cope while roots regrow.
