Give it a repot (you don't have to give it a new pot) with fresh, dry soil. The leaves may be yellowing from the soaked soil.
@Catplantaddict i thought this too! I will do this first thing tomorrow. Thank you!
Got three from Lowe's today and all were soggy. I'm drying them out rn as @Catplantaddict said โ˜บ๏ธ
It's interesting how many stores just proceed to soak the plant during watering as if they didn't know what overwatering is
@Catplantaddict I think they just water and donโ€™t care. Not to mention what a good business model. The plant you bought last week died when you brought it home? Youโ€™re in luck, we have more of those here. ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ Same reason they tag orchid โ€œwater with ice cubesโ€.
@Momof83ans is the entire comment to me? I don't remember buying a single plant (the ones I have are either ones I already had or ones I had seeds given to me for).

I'm actually pretty much about to have a plant haul, so ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ
Every plant I bring home from lowes is always soaked. As previously stated repot and do a thorough inspection for pests. My black velvet alocasia had spider mites! I could see the signs but bought it anyway. I couldnโ€™t leave her behind to suffer.
@Catplantaddict yes, didnโ€™t you comment about big box stores and watering? If not so sorry. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ
@Momof83ans, no. It's alright, I feel you. I often get mixed up sometimes, too
