10” pot with drainage
Last watered 4 years ago
I usually put my aloes in a well draining soil and leave them outside unless it’s going to be below 40. I forget to water them and generally neglect them and they do great. Just don’t consistently over water but once shouldn’t kill them unless there’s no drainage in the pot. Since mine are outside they get watered extra when it rains a lot (I’m in the Austin area! So we sometimes get those torrencial downpours) but the pot just drains the excess away. I’d send a picture but they’re recovering from a winter freeze when I forgot them outside and don’t look so hot but they still managed to make babies!
Same as @DefiantDndylion I am in middle of Mississippi and I leave mine outside 99%of the time
That looks like a climbing aloe actually, and they don’t like a lot of direct sun at all, they will crisp up at the tips of their leaves. Let it dry out a lot between watering. I have one inside that gets west sun in the late afternoons and I think I’ll need to move it for the summer (I’m in Dallas so the west summer sun is legit). You might want to try a south facing window or put it on the south side of your house under an wave so it gets indirect light all day.
