Hoya compacts struggling hard, all help appreciated!

Hi all! I’ve got a Hoya compacta, in a terra cotta pot with drainage, in normal indoor potting soil with a little extra perlite. She’s posted to the side of a west facing window, but to the side so it doesn’t get direct lights. Wondering if there’s anything I’m missing or could do to make her happier

@SvelteTigerlily Hi Sam! It’s a cute little rope Hoya! I have had one for about 8 years and I can tell you from experience that they don’t really care for anything but filtered medium light. They will turn bright yellow and die in light that is too bright! They don’t care for it! Also, watering this plant took me awhile to get right! Mine doesn’t like being soaked but likes being root bound a little bit and like their soil more dry than wet in my experience! Here is a pic that included my big Hoya. Have you considered a plant light? Mine loves it! Happy to assist in anyway I can! Let me know know if you need anything! Good Luck!πŸͺ΄πŸ˜
@SvelteTigerlily Potting soil might be the issue. I have all of my Hoya planted in orchid bark with some succulent soil added to the top of the pot and tapped in until it fills the negative spaces. Way more Orchid Bark than Succulent soil water well then let it completely dry out before watering.
Thank you both! I’ll see if those help, I really appreciate it
